Project Solution
This project utilized a design assist application which Climatec BTG participated in and is one of the city’s first projects incorporating building information modeling (BIM) techniques for the facility’s design and construction, which helped the project save time and money. Chilled Water for the Sheraton is provided by Northwind LLC. distributed through four (4) chilled water Heat Exchangers and controlled in Lead-Lag staged configuration on the customer side to maintain the required chilled water set point. Variable Primary pumping will be accomplished utilizing four (4) variable speed pumps controlled from remote Chilled Water Pressure Transducers. Heating Water for the Sheraton is provided by three (3) Boilers set up in a variable secondary configuration. The boilers are staged in a Lead-Lag configuration to maintain the heating water setpoint. The pumps are controlled from remote Heating Water Pressure Transducers. There are 14 VAV Air Handlers serving the common areas, ballrooms, meeting rooms serving a total of 156 VAV Boxes. There are four (4) Garage Exhaust Fans which are demand controlled based upon CO concentration levels. We are controlling 54 back of house Fan Coil Units and 22 General Exhaust Fans.
