Project Solution
Climatec joined the team in early 2005 and was tasked with providing a web-based Alerton Technologies building automation system connecting the HVAC systems with multiple other critical systems; such as the Phoenix lab controls, lighting, power monitoring and other critical system alarms consisting of well over 1,500 points. This project also boasts a packaged central plant where two freight sized containers were shipped by US Air Conditioning and put together consisting of two centrifugal chillers and three chilled water circulating pumps, weighting over 80 tons each. This chilled water plant also included redundant high-speed Alerton VLX controllers to operate the plant and manage the load in conjunction with 600 tons of chilled water available from the landlord’s campus chilled water loop.
