Climatec worked directly with the construction and design teams in real time, performing an integrated project delivery with a target value approach. In addition, Climatec developed the entire building systems in the most cost effective way while maintaining human comfort.
Climatec installed Honeywell Niagara Framework which controls all of the sequences to take full advantage and bring the outside environment inside. During times when it makes sense, they can utilize operable windows in conjunction with evaporative cooling and convection ventilation to maintain a comfortable temperature in the main office area. Once the available cooling is extinguished via passive systems the control system determines when to enable the conventional cooling means.
DPR has achieved all of the goals to make this the first Net-Zero building in Arizona.
